Completed Boiler is Moved

On October 26-27, the completed boiler was moved from Historic Machinery's shop in Steele, AL to the Steam Operations shop at Listerhill TMC in Muscle Shoals, AL.  The boiler will be stored indoors until it's time to mount it onto the frame & cylinder saddle.

The boiler is rolled out of the Historic Machinery shop and sits in the sun for the first time in many years.

It began as a dark & stormy day.  The 275 Ton crane arrives and dwarfs the boiler!  The crew rigs a spreader bar and slings the boiler around its center of gravity.

A rare view of the boiler as it swings over to be positioned on the trailer.

The boiler is secured to the trailer and is ready for transport.  G&R Services (Birmingham) provided the crane & trailer.
